Limit any one vehicle - Agreed value £100,000
Tools spares and equipment to be declared to T.L. Clowes and Company Limited including 'Sat Nav' and GPS type equipment carried in the vehicles - Agreed values up to £20,000 any one vehicle (subject to itemised schedule in respect of equipment per entrant).

LIMITS: World Wide
VOYAGES: Anywhere in the World to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, by Air and/or Sea including up to 30 days of Storage at a secure facility prior to the Event at the port of departure and/or on arrival in Rio.

Risk to commence when the vehicle is delivered to the storage compound at port of departure by the insured. Risk to cease when the vehicle is collected at Rio de Janeiro other than in respect of £20,000 itemised spares, tools and equipment schedule per vehicle which is covered at all times the equipment is in South America.

During the period of the Event coverage is extended to include the transit of vehicles by local ferries.

Return journey to normal country of domicile from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, by Air and/or Sea including up to 30 days of Storage at a secure facility prior to the voyage from Rio and/or on arrival at the port of unloading.

Risk to commence when the vehicle is delivered to the storage compound at Rio by the insured. Risk to cease when the vehicle is collected at the port or unloaded from transporting vehicle at the insured's home premises if the transit is being undertaken by a professional haulage firm.

CONDITIONS: All Risks of Physical Loss or Damage from whatsoever cause

Excluding absolutely all claims on vehicles whilst in motion under own power other than whilst loading or unloading during transit

Excess 1% of vehicle value, subject to a minimum £250 each and every loss and maximum £1,000 each and every loss any one event

7 days cancellation for war, strikes, riots and civil commotion cover but 48 hours for transits to and from the U.S.A. - as attached.

In respect of equipment, this policy excludes losses from unattended vehicles other than whilst in a secure or locked compound unless the equipment is locked away in a secure compartment within the vehicle and not visible from outside of the vehicle.

In respect of equipment cover includes the removal of such equipment from the vehicle provided that the equipment is under the close personal custody of the insured or the representative of the insured and if it is left unattended it is warranted that it is left in a locked safe or hotel room.

It is a condition of this policy that prior to the outward and return transit to and from Rio de Janeiro, dated photographs taken by the insured, photographs taken by a Third Party or an independent pre shipment survey report must be obtained. These must be available in order to substantiate a loss.

In respect of vehicles, excluding electrical/electronic/mechanical derangement unless caused by an insured peril.

In respect of equipment, excluding electrical/electronic/mechanical derangement unless caused by fire, lightning, water damage, windstorm, earthquake, volcanic eruption, collision and the overturning of the vehicle

Underwriters agree to cover the return transit of the vehicle from any point of retirement from the Event to the vehicles normal country of domicile. This policy excludes the cost of repatriation of an insured vehicle.

Following retirement risk to reattach for 'home' journey from time of collection by third party/Independent Service Company, (but not to pay cost thereof), until delivery to normal country of domicile.

Additionally cover is extended to include transportation of the vehicles, following breakdown, by recognised recovery firms to a place of repair or hotel.

MARINE TRANSIT INSURANCE
Information:

  • Cover includes from the moment that the car arrives at port of loading until collection at the dock following the transit. This is applicable for both the outward and the return journey
  • Cover is in force until such time as the car is collected for both journeys.
  • In the event of withdrawal from the event transit insurance is provided from the moment of repatriation of the vehicle
  • Equipment: Extension of coverage is unavailable as a stand alone benefit, and must be purchased in conjunction with the transit cover for the car
  • A condition report or dated photographs must be available/made prior to the return transit
